Samuel Shang is a leading display expert of Lenovo Research, devoting himself to smart device innovation and making outstanding contributions in foldable & rollable innovation. He pioneered and mainstreamed bell-shape foldable technology, which revolutionized industry’s conventional U-shape folding. The introduction of industry’s 1st bell-shape foldable phone Moto Razr and foldable PC ThinkPad X1 Fold Gen2 has enabled Lenovo to become the industry leader in the field and achieve business success. Moreover, he conceptualized the industry’s 1st and award-winning rollable PC, the Lenovo Rollable Laptop. These accomplishments have established Lenovo's leadership in foldable & rollable device innovation, and have won over 60 industry & academic awards, e.g., TIME Magazine’s Best Innovation Award and Provincial/Ministerial-level S&T Progress Award.
