Professor Martins is a leading expert in advanced functional materials, nanotechnology and microelectronics. He is a pioneer in transparent electronics and the inventor of paper electronics, who has spearheaded the development of the amorphous silicon semiconductor field in Europe. He has published more than 700 papers, which have been cited over 30,000 times, with an H-index of 89. He has received more than 10 awards and honors, including the Gold Medal of Honor of the City of Almada (Portugal), the Lisbon Energy Innovation Award, and the Information Innovation Award. |
