Soo-Yeon Lee is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Seoul National University (SNU), where she also leads the Next-Generation Thin-Film Devices and Circuits Laboratory. She obtained her B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from SNU in 2009 and 2013, respectively. Prior to joining SNU in 2019, she worked as a Principal Researcher at Samsung Display from 2013 to 2019. Her research focuses on oxide thin-film transistors (e.g., a-IGZO TFTs), display driver and compensation circuit design, solution-processed oxide TFT performance enhancement, and synaptic transistors for neuromorphic computing, with a particular emphasis on improving device stability through techniques like fluorine diffusion.
