罗丹教授（IEEE 高级会员）于 2012 年获新加坡南洋理工大学电子工程专业博士学位。2012 至 2013 年，他担任南洋理工大学电气与电子工程学院研究员。目前，罗丹教授任职于南方科技大学电气与电子工程学院，担任副教授。

他的研究方向包括液晶光子器件、液晶光学传感器以及光响应液晶聚合物驱动器。截至目前，他已在《科学・进展》《光：科学与应用》《科学通报》《先进光学材料》《美国化学会应用材料与界面》《材料化学杂志 C 辑》《光学快报》等国际知名期刊发表论文 140 余篇，论文被引超 2400 次，H 指数达 26。

罗丹教授的荣誉奖项丰硕，曾获 2011 年度德国奥托・莱曼奖、2011 年度国家优秀自费留学生奖学金、2012 年度国际光学工程学会光电奖学金、2012 年度 IEEE 光子学学会研究生奖学金、2016 年度南方科技大学优秀导师奖、2017 年度南方科技大学青年研究奖、2017 年度南方科技大学优秀教学奖以及 2018 年度深圳市优秀教师称号。此外，他还入选深圳市孔雀计划 B 类人才，并于 2020 年获广东省基础与应用基础研究基金 “杰出青年” 项目资助。

科研项目方面，罗丹教授主持了 12 项科研课题，资助来源涵盖国家自然科学基金、教育部、广东省基础与应用基础研究基金、深圳市科技创新委员会、孔雀人才科研启动基金及 TCL 集团。同时，他作为核心成员参与了国家重点研发计划子课题、深圳市孔雀团队项目及深圳市科技创新委员会资助项目等多个重点项目。

学术兼职方面，罗丹教授现任中国物理学会液晶分会第八届委员会委员，同时担任《液晶与显示》期刊青年编委。

Prof. Dan Luo (senior member, IEEE) received his Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, 2012. From 2012 to 2013, he was a research fellow in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, NTU. Prof. Luo is currently an Associate Professor in Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). His research interests include liquid crystal photonic devices, liquid crystal optical sensor, and photo-responsive liquid crystal polymer actuator. He has published more than 140 papers in Science Advances, Light: Science & Applications, Science Bulletin, Advanced Optical Materials, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of Materials Chemistry C, and Optics Express and so on. He has citation of more than 2400 times and H-index of 26.

Prof. Luo was the recipient of Otto Lehmann Award, Germany, 2011; Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad, 2011; SPIE Scholarship in Optics and Photonics, 2012; IEEE Photonic Society Graduate Student Fellowships, 2012; Southern University of Science and Technology Excellent Mentor Award, 2016; Southern University of Science and Technology Young Research Award, 2017; Southern University of Science and Technology Excellent Teaching Award, 2017; and Shenzhen Advanced Educator, 2018. He was also the recipient of Talent of Peacock Program B, Shenzhen; and the "Outstanding Youth" project of the Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation in 2020. He was the PI of 12 projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Education, Guangdong Basic and Applied Basic Research Foundation, Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Council, Peacock Talent Programs Research Start-up Grant, and TCL group. He was also the co-PI of Branch Project of National Key Research and Development Program, Shenzhen Peacock team project, and project from Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission. He is currently serving as a member of the 8th Committee of the Liquid Crystal Branch of the Chinese Physical Society, and also serving as a youth editorial board member of the "Chinese Journal of Liquid Crystals and Displays".
