The results of research in the field of development of fast switching LC materials for various electro-optical effects, which were carried out in the laboratory of condensed matter optics, will be presented and discussed. It will be shown how, as a result of research, switching times were improved from hundreds of milliseconds to hundreds of nanoseconds through the optimization of materials and new technological solutions. Experimental samples confirming the results of these studies will also be presented.
