廖奇璋博士是中国台湾虹彩光电（虹彩科技）创始人兼董事长，深耕胆甾相液晶（ChLCD）电子纸技术领域，累积全球 200 余项专利，是该领域权威专家。他 2012 年创立虹彩光电并担任董事长，带领团队攻克全彩显示、超宽温（-20℃至 70℃）、低功耗（仅为传统 LCD 的 1/80）等核心技术难题，实现 7.9 寸至 42 寸产品量产，推动与友达光电等面板厂合作，拓展智慧交通、医疗、零售等应用场景。2024 年他主导在上海设立子公司并担任法定代表人，深化两岸技术合作与市场布局。2025 年他获 “ICDA 华显奖 - 创新应用金奖”，并在国际峰会发表演讲，推广绿色显示技术的 ESG 价值，助力虹彩光电成为全球胆甾相液晶电子纸技术领导者。

Qizhang Liao, Ph.D., is the founder and chairman of IRIS Optronics (also known as IRIS Technology) based in Taiwan, China. With an in-depth focus on the field of Cholesteric Liquid Crystal (ChLCD) e-paper technology, he has accumulated more than 200 patents worldwide and established himself as an authoritative expert in this domain. He founded IRIS Optronics in 2012 and has served as its chairman ever since. Leading his team, he has overcome key technical challenges including full-color display, ultra-wide temperature range (-20℃ to 70℃), and ultra-low power consumption (only 1/80 of that of traditional LCDs). Under his leadership, the company has achieved mass production of products ranging from 7.9 inches to 42 inches, promoted cooperation with panel manufacturers such as AU Optronics, and expanded application scenarios in smart transportation, healthcare, and retail, among others. In 2024, he took the lead in establishing a subsidiary in Shanghai and assumed the role of legal representative, deepening cross-strait technological cooperation and market layout. In 2025, he was awarded the "ICDA China Display Award - Gold Award for Innovative Applications" and delivered a speech at an international summit, promoting the ESG value of green display technology and helping IRIS Optronics become a global leader in Cholesteric Liquid Crystal e-paper technology.
