Prof. Dong Chan Kim is a leading young researcher in next-generation flexible and stretchable optoelectronic devices based on functional nanomaterials. His recent achievements include the development of deformable quantum-dot light-emitting devices, highlighted by the proof-of-concept stuides of “3D-foldable QLEDs” (D. C. Kim et al., Nat. Electron. 2021) and “intrinsically stretchable QLEDs” (D. C. Kim et al., Nat. Electron. 2024). Building on these advances, he has also created multifunctional robotic e-skin systems integrating vertically stacked tactile and optical sensor arrays, which have been applied to caregiving scenarios. His expertise in soft optoelectronics and device engineering makes him highly suitable for recommendation as an invited speaker.
