Longjia Wu(吴龙佳)
Dr. Longjia Wu joined the Quantum Dot Team at the Industrial Research Institute of TCL Technology Group in September 2016, and has successively served as a Display Technology Expert and Project Director. Over the past decade, he has been committed to the industrialization of quantum dot electroluminescent display technology. During his tenure, he led the team to achieve several milestone breakthroughs in quantum dot electroluminescent display technology, making outstanding contributions to the industrialization of this field. For instance, in recent years, his team solved the core issue that restricted the commercialization of quantum dot electroluminescent technology—insufficient operational lifetime of blue quantum dot electroluminescent devices. To date, the operational lifetime (T95@1000 nits) of the team’s blue quantum dot display devices has increased from less than 1 hour at the team’s establishment in 2015 to more than 200 hours, far exceeding the best reported results in academia and reaching an internationally leading level. In addition, at the SID Display Week in the United States in May 2024, he led his team to cooperate with the TCL CSOT printing mass production team to launch the world’s first 14-inch 2.8K full-color printed quantum dot electroluminescent laptop screen. This display received wide recognition from attendees and won exhibition awards, demonstrating that TCL’s quantum dot team is at the global forefront in the mass production of quantum dot display technology. In the field of quantum dot display technology, Dr. Longjia Wu has participated in and presided over multiple key provincial, ministerial and national R&D projects. As a project leader, he directed the research project “Key Materials and Device Research of Cadmium‑free and Lead‑free Quantum Dot Light-emitting Displays for Flexible Displays”, which is part of the “14th Five-Year Plan” National Key R&D Program of “New Displays and Strategic Electronic Materials”. He has published seven papers in top journals including Nature Communications as first author or corresponding author, and has been granted more than 100 Chinese invention patents, among which 12 authorized patents have entered major display technology countries including the United States through PCT applications. He has also delivered more than 40 invited talks at important domestic and international academic conferences. It is fair to say that under his leadership, the team has been leading the global development of quantum dot electroluminescent display technology. |
