Natalia Vladimirovna Kamanina-Leader of the team, Head of the Laboratory for Photophysics of media with nanoobjects at Vavilov State Optical Institute. She coordinates the job of the team, participate at all experiments and analyze the data. She is Professor of Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI”.

N.V. Kamanina has current interest in the areas of investigations on inorganic soft materials of the UV and IR range, coatings, organic conjugated materials, liquid crystals, laser-matter interaction, fullerenes and biological objects. She has an experience in nanoparticles doping process of organics, in recording of amplitude-phase thin gratings in thin films as well as in developing of LC cells and spatial light modulators; she has an experience in optical limiting effect of laser radiation over visible and infrared spectral ranges, in medical applications of LC structures to orient human blood cell. She has published more than 200 scientific papers in the International and Russian journals and 13 Russian Patents.

She is Federal Russian Experts in the Scientific and Technical Sphere (dated 30.09.2022, Protocol No. 8, the accreditation was extended for a period of three years, till 2025).

She is Member of the Editor Board of Coatings and Biosensors Journal in MDPI system.

In parallel of her scientific activity, she has been lecturing from 2001. She is a Professor of the St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” (2001-current), a Professor of the St. Petersburg Technical University “IFMO” (2002-2013). She is (was) a supervisor for more than 30 Bachelors and Master’s Degree Students. She was a supervisor of 5 PhD-students:Sergei Serov, Natalia Shurpo, Svetlana Likhomanova, Alxander Kukharchik, Pavel Kuzhakov,which successfully defenses their thesis on 2012-2018. At present time she is the supervisor of 4master’s degree student from LETI and 4 PhD-students from LETI.
