Hennrik Schmidt

Hennrik Schmidt studied Physics at the Leibniz University of Hanover (LUH), Germany, and obtained his PhD in 2012 at the institute for solid state physics in the group of R. J. Haug. During this time, the focus of work was on two-dimensional graphene, especially twisted bilayer systems and resulting super-lattices, and its electronic properties. In 2013 he moved to the National University of Singapore (NUS) as a post doc for two years of further experimental studies of other 2d-crystals, mainly MoS2 and black phosphorus, at the graphene research center (now centre for advanced 2D materials). Since 2016 he started to work in industry R&D in the field of display applications for Plansee SE, first at the headquarters in Reutte and from 2017 on at the site in Shanghai. His main interest lies in new applications and the development and application of old and new materials for sputter deposition for thin film transistors metallization as well as other layers in display devices.
