Kai Wang

Kai WANG, Ph.D., is currently an Associate Professor in the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). His research focuses on quantum dot light-emitting diodes and quantum dotphotodetectors, and their applications in emerging displays. He has published more than 150 articles on academic journals (citations over 3400, h-index of 33)and an academic book. He has acquired 25 granted invention patents in China and 2 in USA. He is the recipient of the Guangdong Natural Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar and Guangdong Science and Technology Special Plan for Top-Notch Young Scholars. His research achievement is awarded the second prize of the National Award for Technological Invention, the first prize of the National Ministry of Education Award for Technological Innovation, and the first price of the Natural Science Award of Hubei Province. He is currently acommittee member of the SID Beijing Chapter Technical Committee, the deputy director of Key Laboratory of Energy Conversion and Storage Technologies of the Ministry of Education, and Guangdong Key Laboratory for Quantum Dots based Advanced Display and Lighting.
