Yangang Wang

Personal Introduction

Wang,Yangang iscurrently an associate professor in School of Automation, Southeast University.He is the winner of Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Outstanding YouthFund (2022), The Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program by China Associationfor Science and Technology (CAST) (2020), and talent of Jiangsu Province"Double Innovation Program" (2018). He obtained the bachelor's degreefrom Southeast University in 2009, and Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in 2014,and joined Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA) after graduating with a Ph.D.   At the end of 2017, he joined the School ofAutomation of Southeast University. From 2012 to 1013, he was a visitingexchange at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland.His research interests include artificial intelligence (3D vision), dynamic 3Dreconstruction of human body, virtual reality, and augmented reality. He ledand developed a real-time markerless human body and hand object interactivereconstruction hardware system, and applied for more than 40 Chinese inventionpatents.

Speech Introduction

This short course will explain the basic principlesof vision-based digital human reconstruction and introduce the basic methods ofhuman body reconstruction, including multi-view human body reconstruction,single-view human body reconstruction, and the state-of-the-arts in humanmotion reconstruction that meets physical constraints.
